The hyperloop pod "Mujinga", named after the Swiss sprinter Mujinga Kambundji, was designed for the ETH Zurich project Swissloop. Swissloop took part in the international Hyperloop pod competition at the SpaceX site in Los Angeles with the pod. The competition will focus on a single criterion – maximum speed in a vacuum tube without air stagnation. The briefing was to design a pod that departs from the usual teardrop shape and has more of the bodywork of a sports car. Parallel to the competition, a concept for underground parcel transportation for the Zurich area was also developed.
